Brian’s professional career follows the classic trajectory—working upward from the bottom rung in the Temporary Staffing Business where he learned door-to-door selling. From that experience he founded and sold two successful start-up companies in both online learning and online recruitment space over a 10-year period.

He has received numerous awards for professional excellence including the elite status of a Top 40 under 40 executives, six years before reaching the cut-off. Having an acute business awareness, has given Brian the tools needed to successfully consult to global corporations as a Human Capital Strategist.

His work with global corporations has given Brian the opportunity to share his knowledge, and allowed him to use his gifts of teaching and speaking on a global platform on topics of sales effectiveness, building loyal customers, and leadership strategies that drive profits.

Not only a talented speaker, Brian has been a regular contributor for magazines like South African Airways and broadcast media. As a Human Capital Strategist, he consults with a select group of organizations each year to assist them in building winning cultures.

Brian’s current business interests includes his podcast The Life of Brian and serving as a Board Member of TalentSolved.com and Centurion Aircraft.

Driven to Overcome

Richie Parker is extraordinary, just don’t tell him that. He’d prefer to be just one of the guys. Parker formerly worked as the Vehicle Design Group Manager for the four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams of Hendrick Motorsports. The engineer uses his feet to design vehicle components and incorporate adjustments based on feedback from the organization’s crew chiefs and drivers.

The Beaufort, S.C., native believes in taking responsibility for your life and career, and never giving up until you reach your goals.

Currently, Parker is co-founder of Optimech Solutions, an engineering consulting firm that works with several clients across motorsports as well as many different industries. The 32-year- old received his MBA last summer from Clemson University.

Born with bilateral amelia, a non-genetic birth defect in which limbs are not formed, Parker has pursued his dreams at one of NASCAR’s most successful organizations. He has been profiled by ESPN and often speaks to organizations about overcoming obstacles and facing adversity.

A Clemson University graduate, Parker joined Hendrick Motorsports in 2005 and has contributed to six Sprint Cup championships during his tenure. In 2014, Parker was honored by the National Inclusion Project as a Champion of Inclusion recipient. Parker takes pride in finding creative solutions that allow him to lead a perfectly normal and independent life.

As a child, he designed a bike that would allow him to ride around with the neighborhood kids. Later in life, Parker convinced a man to sell him his dream car, a 1964 Chevy Impala SS. He and his father partnered with a company called Drive Master to develop a system that allowed Parker to drive the car on his own by steering with his feet.

Kevin joined Viking in 2015 after they successfully sold his company. His varied career includes 25+ years in corporate sales and product management at Corning and Rubbermaid before moving to Charlotte to work in various executive level positions at Springs Global in Fort Mill. More recently, he was the 10-year owner/operator of a marketing services business offering graphic design, printing, direct mail, and website design services. He is also a licensed Realtor® in North and South Carolina. A graduate of Lafayette College with a BA degree in Economics & Business, Kevin went on to obtain his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

At Viking, Kevin looks for opportunities to apply his experience and knowledge of large and small business for the benefit of his clients. Analytical by nature, he approaches every opportunity or challenge with personal integrity, hard work, a strategic perspective, and is guided by the Golden Rule. Selling Your Business and Securing Your Legacy– The Race to the Checkered Flag

In estate planning, those goals often involve providing a legacy for a surviving spouse or child and making sure an appropriate person is named to serve as the guardian of a minor child. A will, durable power of attorney, and healthcare power of attorney with advanced directive are all necessary documents in an effective estate plan. Because everyone’s circumstances are different, certain estate plans can require the use of revocable or irrevocable trusts. In either case, the client is entitled to a comprehensive plan to achieve his, her or their goals. My role is to provide that plan as efficiently and effectively as possible. Doing so often involves teamwork. I’m committed to working with all my clients’ advisors to craft a plan, to arrange their affairs, to achieve that end.

Corporate transactions also require arranging one’s affairs, but instead of passing on a legacy, the business owner needs to ensure the continued operation and success of his business venture. From starting a new business to expanding an existing business to acquiring or merging a business, proper planning is imperative for continued success. I provide that planning to my clients by advising them on business structures, operating and shareholder agreements, and investigating the different options available to an expanding business. From start-up to winding-down, I help business owners with tools they need to succeed.

As an avid fan of the Carolina Panthers, his perfect home game attendance record spans all 20 seasons that the Panthers have played football in uptown Charlotte at Bank of America stadium.
